About Growing Waves
Growing Waves is a storytelling and visual communication project born at the intersection of photography, writing, and international cooperation.
Through documentary imagery and carefully crafted narratives, the project brings visibility to two interconnected dimensions of social change: Lived Realities on the ground, encountered through immersive field journeys where lives shaped by resilience, meaning, and a deep relationship with the natural environment unfold; and the actors Behind the Change, namely small and medium-sized initiatives actively working for social and environmental justice and collective well-being.
Rooted in the belief that global challenges are deeply interconnected, Growing Waves builds bridges between worlds, fostering connection, awareness, and shared responsibility. By amplifying often-unseen stories of care, commitment, and solidarity, the project seeks to cultivate a conscious community capable of generating real and lasting change.

We are two international cooperation professionals. We met while pursuing a Master’s degree in Cooperation and Development and together we bring extensive experience from work with NGOs and development and cooperation agencies.
